چکیده
Accurate neutron flux measurements in fusion reactors are essential, order to determine the feasibility and progress of reaction as well for safety issues. Semiconductor detectors exhibit promising characteristics operation extreme environmental conditions reactors. Silicon, Diamond Silicon Carbide most studied anticipated materials constructing with high efficiency irradiation resistance. The ITER reactor is expected run D-D plasma near future, so detection 2.45 MeV neutrons appropriate great immediate importance. In present work study interactions a silicon, diamond silicon carbide detector was made, using GEANT4 [1] simulations, compare their response. An experimental will follow at production facility TANDEM accelerator I.N.P.P. NCSR “Demokritos”, provided by CIVIDEC Instrumentation GmbH, geometry simulations built accordingly. A quasi-monoenergetic beam produced through 3H(p,n) reactions TiT target. Due low cross section reaction, biasing techniques were implemented simulation increase counting rate thus producing realistic results. These studied, various tests parameters affecting choice factor shown discussed.

Neutrons from fragmentation of light nuclei in tissue-like media: a study with the GEANT4 toolkit.
We study energy deposition by light nuclei in tissue-like media taking into account nuclear fragmentation reactions, in particular, production of secondary neutrons. The calculations are carried out within a Monte Carlo model for heavy-ion therapy (MCHIT) based on the GEANT4 toolkit. Experimental data on depth-dose distributions for 135-400 A MeV (12)C and (18)O beams are described very well wi...

Objective(s): The energy resolution of a cadmium-zinc-telluride (CZT) solid-state semiconductor detector is about 5%, and is superior to the resolution of the conventional Anger type detector which is 10%. Also, the window width of the high-energy part and of the low-energy part of a photo peak window can be changed separately. In this study, we used a semiconductor detector and examined the ef...
متن کاملGEANT4 code for Simulation of neutrons for a double- gap Resistive Plate Chamber
GEANT4 is a toolkit for simulating the passage of particles though matter, which contains a complete range of functionality including tracking, geometry, physics models, and hits. In this article, an attempt to use GEANT4 Monte Carlo code to watch a double-gap Resistive Plate Chamber's (RPC) response to neutrons is presented. The simulation calculations of the double-gap RPC have been evaluated...
متن کاملHomework #10 Geant4 Simulations for Compton Scattering in Aluminum
Compton scattering models in Geant4 are the following: a.) G4ComptonScattering: listed as ”compt” in the process name. No Rayleigh scattering in the model. b.) G4LowEnergyCompton: Process name is ”LowEnCompton” in the tracking code. It has errors in the treatment of Rayleigh scattering and does not account for Doppler broadening (the effect of bound electron momentum on the scattered particle e...
متن کاملThe use of Geant4 for simulations of a plastic β-detector and its application to efficiency calibration
Precise β-branching-ratio measurements are required in order to determine ft-values as part of our program to test the Electroweak Standard Model via unitarity of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Moskawa matrix. For the measurements to be useful in this test, their precision must be close to 0.1%. In a branching-ratio measurement, we position the radioactive sample between a thin plastic scintillator used...
